One of the most common questions a tourist has that falls in love with Colombia is, How do I open a business in Colombia? What can i do in Colombia for work? Well you definately have to be creative and patient, and i may not be able to answer all those questions, but here we explain the process on how you can get your business license, and qualify for a business visa. Colombia is friendly to foreign investors and encourages foreign investment. Colombia has gone a long way with new laws to enforce protection of foreign investment. As a matter of fact your better of here than anywhere in South America.

Medellin Health care, (Medellin Salud) is one reason people are moving back from other countries to Colombia. The pre pay and premium health care policies provide better quality services than what i have experienced personally in the United States. Colombian health care has been one of my better experiences in Colombia Premium insurance coverage for me cost me about 60 USD per month when i started a couple years ago, but now that i am 41 my rate has gone up to 110 USD a month. I had 8 dollar copay for emergency room visits, which has gone up to 10 dollars in 2010. I can see specialists without referrals, and this includes 10 doctor visits per year. The facilities at Suramericana in the Industriales site near El Poblado are top notch new and very clean facilities. These neighborhood clinics and hospitals are better than what i have seen in US facilities. If your in a nice neighborhood then your near the best clinics.
